Lawyer Portrait
Here’s a recent portrait of a local Pittsburgh Lawyer. It’s simple and professional. This most difficult thing about shooting these types of portraits is to decide on the appropriate expression. Should a lawyer look “warm and approachable” or more “authoritative”? The decision is more about marketing and less about photography. To solve this problem, I like to shoot a range of expressions and let the client decide later. I usually shoot an average of fifty shots to make the client happy. We shoot, look at the headshots on the computer, adjust as needed, and shoot more if necessary. Everyone leaves happy, especially the lawyers. You don’t want unhappy lawyers… :o)
