Headshot and Possible CD Cover for Pittsburgh Gospel Singer Stephani Ezatoff

Earlier today I shot this headshot of Pittsburgh born, Gospel Singer Steohani Ezatoff. We shot in her father’s one-room church near Harmarville.  The church was actually built in the 1860s, but because it had been remodeled, it wasn’t eligible for any type of historical landmark states.  Even though the paneling wasn’t all that attractive, the church had a certain appeal, and it had a special meaning to Stephani, if nothing else.  So that’s where we shot.  She mentioned that it was kind of cool that people were going to church there when Abraham Lincoln was still in office.  That is cool!

Since the location was a little bland, available light was out of the question.  I brought in a large soft box for her and a freznel spot for the background and the image we shot is the result of our shoot.  Actually, I’m not sure that she’ll choose the same headshot for her Album, that I posted here, but after a really quick look, this is what I chose.  We shot over 350 photos and did some action shots of her singing too, but those kinds of headshots are real hit and miss kind of things…  Most of the time, it looked like someone had just stepped on her foot or something and the placement of her head between the crosses was critical to the composition of the photo, and when she sings, she MOVES!

All in all, it was a fun headshot shoot of an entertaining, pleasant, and very talented singer.  Now that you know what she looks like, you can keep your eye out for her CD.
