Business Headshots in the Studio
Studio Business Headshots are cropped at the head and shoulders as per the examples shown. Several stock backgrounds are offered, including a grey canvas background (the most popular), brown canvas, blue canvas, solid white, solid black, and solid grey. Special backgrounds can be purchased for an additional charge. Some clients supply their own background in order to match something they had taken at a different office or location. Depending on the complexity, and additional charge may be required for this type of arrangement, but it is doable.
The way this works is that we shoot some photos and view them on the computer. If you’re happy, we’re finished. If you’re not, we keep shooting until you are happy. This type of shoot usually takes about fifteen to twenty minutes. As for selecting your one final image, you have two choices. You can either select your favorite image at the time of the shoot or I can email you a PDF contact sheet (10.00) and you can get back to me with your selection, at your leisure. At this point, I can email you your selected image as a high and low resolution jpg, to be used as you wish. Your selected file will be adjusted for exposure and and color and if you wish, I can retouch out blemishes, whiten your teeth and eyes, and fix any minor issues. Exposure and color adjustment is free, but retouching is $25.00 per file

Studio Headshots On Location
If you like the looks of my studio headshots, but don’t want to come to my Pittsburgh Strip District studio, I can bring the studio to you. In that case, the above prices apply with the addition of a one time, $200.00 location charge. Usually clients prefer this option when there are multiple people that need to have their headshots taken. Again, quantity discounts can be negotiated, so please contact Michael for details.
Location Environmental Headshots
Rather than shoot on a “studio-looking” background (shown above), it’s often times preferable to shoot in an environment that pertains to the subject’s business. We can shoot either in an outside or inside environment, the choice is yours. It can be in your office or out in front of your building. And if you wish, I can make a special scouting trip to your location to scout for potential backgrounds. With environmental headshots, the location’s lighting is just as important factor to consider, so this scouting service is usually a good idea.
When a company needs to have several people photographed on location, there are basically two background options. They can either decide to photograph everyone in one place, (see sample) which makes everything go faster and more economically, or each person can be photographed in a different location. (see sample). This second option for photographing multiple people will take more time and therefore be more expensive. To discuss all the possible options, please contact Michael to discuss the costs of having multiple people photographed on location.
